''I am an unrepentant maximalist. More is more. I use thought bubbles as a device for illuminating thoughts and feelings. Together, a portrait and accompanying thought bubble capture a moment-in-time, conveying the inner world of my subject. Set against a backdrop of colour and pattern, for me, this is a satisfying image.''
